  • DEPOSIT ORIGIN: THE IRON IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN ERODED AND LEACHED FROM THE YEDRI STOCK AND DEPOSITED IN LITTORAL- LAGOONAL CONDITIONS IN THE FLAT TROUGH. THE EMSIAN LAYER CONSISTS OF OOLITHIC SANDSTONES, CLAY- STONE/SHALES, FERRUGINOUS QUARTZITES AND SANDY LIMESTONES.
