Comments on the geologic information

  • THE BARRAMBIE TITANIUM-VANADIUM-IRON COMPLEX INTRUDES A METAMORPHOSED ARCHAEN GREENSTONE BELT, CONTAINING SEDIMENTARY AND MAFIC VOLCANIC ROCKS, AND ALMOST COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY GRANITOID OR GNEISSIC TERRAIN. MAGNETITE AND ILMENITE ARE THE PRIMARY ORE MINERALS, OCCURRING BOTH AS EXSOLUTIONS WITHIN ALTERED MAGNETITE (MARTITE), OR AS COURSE GRAINS AND BLEBS.
