Deposit AMITY OPERATION PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN 5/92. DREDGE IS ON CARE AND MAINTENANCE. FUTURE PLANS ARE TO MOVE TO VANCE DEPOSIT, ONCE MARKET CONDITIONS ARE BETTER. *THE GORDON OPERATION WAS COMMISSIONED IN 3/85 AT $27 MILLION. *GORDON OPERATION WAS STILL PRODUCING IN 1993. THE BAYSIDE OPERATION MOVED TO THE KOUNPEE DEPOSIT IN MID 1992 AND PRODUCTION RESUMED. THIS REPORT CONCERNS ITSELF ONLY WITH THE MINING LEASES HELD BY CONSOLIDATED RUTILE LIMITED UNDER THE NAME OF STRADBROKE RUTILE LIMITED. THE LEASES COVER THE WEST AND CENTRAL AREAS OF THE ISLAND. THIS IS AN AREA OF OVER 9695 HECTARES.
