  • PRODUCTION PRIOR TO 1959: 2,612 OZ. OF GOLD AND 371 OZ OF SILVER (USBMAFOC FILES). G.A. HANKS CREW (2) WORKED CREEK WITH DOZER (CARNES-1975). THERE IS A VARIETY OF BEDROCK: THE UPPER VALLEY IS SCHISTS INTRUDED BY GRANITIC ROCKS, THE LOWER VALLEY (PALEOZOIC) IS PRINCIPALLY GREENSTONES AND LST, FRAGMENTAL ROCKS FROM SANDST. TO CGL, AND ALSO FRESH BASALT. THE GOLD IS ALL IN THE BEDROCK WITH AVERAGE 11 FT. DEPTH (B375).
