| Deposit | THE COLUMBIA MINE CONSISTS OF 3 ADITS, 315, 140, AND 110 FT LONG. ONLY THE UPPER ADIT HAS MINERALIZATION; MINERALS RECOGNIZED INCLUDE CHALCOPYRITE, GALENA, MALACHITE, PYRITE, SPHALERITE; MINERALS CONTROLLED BY FAULT STRUCTURES IN LIMESTONE AND ALTERED LIMESTONE. A SELECT SAMPLE ASSAYED 0.37% BISMUTH, 0.38% COPPER, 9.5% LEAD, 33.4 OZ/ST SILVER, 0.14% TUNGSTEN, AND 16.7% ZINC. ABOUT 50 SHORT TONS OF HIGH- GRADE BASE AND PRECIOUS METAL ORE WAS SHIPPED INTERMITTENTLY FROM 1902 TO 1941. A SMALL AMOUNT OF TUNGSTEN ORE WAS SHIPPED IN 1953. |
