THESE MINES ARE SEPAR KINGS ON THE CLIFF FISSURE. ALL THREE MINES WORKED THE SAME S, BUT IT IS UNKNOWN WHETHER THEY ARE CONNECTED UNDERGROUND. RECORD 050 FIELD 18-21. DISCOVERY DATE UNCERTAIN. 1844 IS DA RGANIZATION OF ORIGINAL MINING COMPANY. RECORD 050 FIELD 26-29. 1887 IS GIVEN AS THE DATE OF LAST PR N BY BUTLER AND BURBANK.(1929). WE KNOW HOWEVER THAT THIS PR WAS SOLD TO ANOTHER COMPANY IN 1910 AND SOMETIME LATER WAS A D BY THE CALUMET AND HECLA COMPANY. THIS PROPERTY THEN BECAM PLORATION PROJECT THAT INCLUDED THE CLIFF AND PHOENIX MINES. S DO NOT INDICATE ANY PRODUCTION SINCE 1887 HOWEVER. RECORD 050 FIELDS 34-37 AND 42-45 THERE IS SOME QUESTION AS VALIDITY OF THESE DATES, AS WE KNOW THAT THERE WAS DIAMOND D GOING ON UNTIL AT LEAST 1939. RECORD 030 COL 47. LOCATION CITED IS THE HEADFRAME OF THE #2 REVIEWED AND REVISED IN MARCH, 1978
