| Environmental Factors | NO MILL TAILINGS WERE OBSERVED AT THIS SITE DURING THE INVESTIGATION. ONE DISCHARGING ADIT WAS OBSERVED AT THE SITE. THE DISCHARGE EVENTUALLY FLOWED INTO AN UNNAMED TRIBUTARY OF MIDDLE FORK WARM SPRINGS CREEK. MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVELS FOR ARSENIC AND CADMIUM WERE EXCEEDED IN THE ADIT DISCHARGE. THE PH MEASUREMENT IN THE DISCHARGE WAS 6.94. MIDDLE FORK WARM SPRINGS CREEK FLOWED DIRECENTLY ADJACENT TO THE WASTE ROCK DUMP. OBSERVED RELEASES TO THE CREEK WERE DOCUMENTED FOR ARSENIC, LEAD, AND ZINC. THE MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVEL FOR CADMIUM WAS EXCEEDED IN THE DOWNSTREAM SAMPLE; HOWEVER, THE EXCEEDANCE WAS NOT ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE SITE. ONE POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS OPEN ADIT WAS IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE. |
