  • THE MINE WAS SHUT DOWN, ON A TEMPORARY BASIS, IN DECEMBER 1983; HOWEVER, THE SHUTDOWN CONTINUED THROUGH 1986 AND THE MINE WILL PROBABLY REMAIN INACTIVE THROUGH 1987.

  • ACCORDING TO A DEC. 1988 INDUSTRIAL MINERALS ARTICLE, THIS SULFUR OPERATION WILL BE REOPENED BY THE END OF 1988 AT A CAPACITY RANGING FROM 250,000 TO 300,000 MT/YR.
