Comments on the location information

  • Area at base of abandoned mine site is an undeveloped town park with fishing access to Smith's Fork. At the time of Wilson's and Heran's site visit (Aug, 2010) we were unaware of the many other prospects on the 24k topo that are in the nearby area, about 1 mi east at the mouth of the almost southward-flowing tributary to Smith's Fork, a "quarry" about a mile up that same gulley and south of Quealy Reservoir, and another prospect cluster on the south side of Big Hill due east of town.
