Deposit AT TIME OF EVALUATION (FALL 1980) RTZ WAS IN PROCESS OF RESTUDYING PROJECT. OVERALL NEW OPERATION PARAMETERS THAT RTZ WOULD LOOK AT ARE UNKNOWN. THEY COULD POSSIBLY HIGH- GRADE AT A LOWER TONNAGE FOR FIRST YEARS (LOWER INVEST. REQUIREMENTS). MAS FALL 1980 STUDY ASSUMES THE FOLLOWING OPERATING PARAMETERS: 27,000,050 MTPY ORE; DILUTION IN THE PROPORTIONS SHOWN BY COMPARING FEED GRADE WITH Q-MAT GRADE; 94% RECOVERY OF ORE, PIPELINING OF CONC. & TAILING TO PORT FACILITIES/MO PLANT/DISPOSAL AREA ON MOSQUITOS GULF (N COAST OF PANAMA), 80% OF CONCS. (CU) SENT TO EUROPE AND 20% TO JAPAN, HYDRAULIC STRIPPING OF 80,000,000 MT OF PRE-PROD. OVERBURDEN. AVG. THICKNESS OF OREBODY CODED REPRESENTS ESTIMATE OF OPEN PIT DEPTH LIMITS-ORE BODY STILL OPEN AT DEPTH OF 1250 M ACCORDING TO DRILLING RESULTS. ORE RESERVE IN Q MAT 1,COL.5 IS TONNAGE AT 0.4% CU CUT-OFF GRADE.
