Comments on the geologic information

  • ORE OCCURS WITHIN A ZONE OF GRANITE PORPHYRIES CUT BY NUMEROUS FAULTS, FORMING BLOCKS DEFINED ALONG THE GRANITE- PORPHYRY CONTACTS. FUNNEL-LIKE BRECCIAS ARE CONFINED TO SUNKEN BLOCKS. ORE IS GROUPED EN ECHELON ABOVE ONE ANOTHER, VERTICAL IN- TERVALS ARE 40-200M. TIN CONCENTRATION INCREASES WITH INCREASE OF GAP AMPLITUDE. TWO TYPES OF ORE: 1) SPACIALLY CONFINED TO BRECCIA ZONES AND ARE CONTROLLED BY TECTONICS; 2) DEVELOPED OUTSIDE BRECCIA ZONES. ORE IS ZONED.

  • MINE OPERATES 36/HRS./WK. WORKERS ARE ASSIGNED 3 SHIFTS/ WK. AND 7 HRS./SHIFT. ORE BODIES ARE VERTICAL AND SUB-LEVEL STOPING IS USED. MAIN LEVELS EVERY 60M; SUB-LEVELS EVERY 20M. SUB-LEVELS IN FOOTWALL. 105 MM HOLES ARE FAN-DRILLED(MAX. 30M DEEP) < OR > THAN 45 DEGREES INTO ORE. DRILLING DONE WITH DOWN THE HOLE DRILLS AT 100 PSI AND WA- TER INJECTION. AVERAGE OUTPUT IS 25M/SHIFT. BLASTING DONE WITH AMMONIUM NITRATE. ORE IS SCRAPED TO DRAWPOINTS ON THE MAIN LEVELS. RAIL CARS HAUL ORE TO PROCESSING PLANT. NO UNDERGROUND CRUSHERS. ORE IS BROKEN TO MAX. 400MM BY DRILLING AND BLASTING. MINE RECOVERY IS 85%. MINE IS CURRENTLY WORKED TO 400M. SHAFTS 1,000M DEEP ARE BEING BUILT.
