Deposit LOCATED IN THE AKTYUBINSK REGION, THIS ILMENTIE AND ZIRCON DEPOSIT HAS BEEN DEVELOPING SINCE 1992. PLANS ARE TO BEGIN PRODUCTION IN 1995 AND HAVE AN ANNUAL PRODUCTION OF 6,000 MT ILMENITE, 11,200 MT RUTILE, AND 1,100 MT OF ZIRCON CONCENTRATES. THE KAZAKHSTAN GOVERNMENT STATED THAT IT WOULD INVEST $15 MILLION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS PROJECT AND THE OBYKHOVSKOE PROJECT.
