Deposit ORE DIPS 0.5 DEGREES - 3 DEGREES TOWARD CENTER OF STRUCTURAL BASIN. RESERVES OCCUR IN A 2000 HECTARE AREA PHOSPHATE MEMBER HAS MAXIMUM THICKNESS OF 71 METERS THE THANIYAT PHOSPHORITE MEMBER CAN BE TRACED IN OUTCROP IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF THE SIRHAN-TURAYF REGION FOR ABOUT 200KM. ABOUT 20KM WEST OF AL JALAMID, THE AGGREGATE THICKNESS OF THE PHOSPHORITE BEDS VARY FROM 2-13M, WITH A GRADE OF 15-32% P2O5. MOST OF THE PHOSPHORITE DEPOSIT WITHIN THE NORTHERN PROSPECT OCCURS AT DEPTHS OF LESS THAN 25M BELOW THE SURFACE, WITH MORE THAN HALF LYING WITHIN 15M OF THE SURFACE.
