  • MINIMUM ORE ZONE THICKNESS IS 3 METERS, MAXIMUM IS 43 METERS REPORTED AVERAGE THICKNESS IS AN AVERAGE OF THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM THICKNESS. DEPOSIT LENGTH IS 20-25 KILOMETERS. DEPOSIT WIDTH IS 4-7 KILOMETERS. THE PHOSPHATE BEDS WERE LAID DOWN ON A BASEMENT HIGH COMPOSED OF VOLCANICS WHICH STRIKES EAST AND PLUNGES EAST.
  • THE DEPOSIT IS PHOSPHATIC MUDSTONE. UNDIFFER. IS UNDIFFERENTIATED.

Deposit MINERAL HOLDINGS ARE MINING LEASES. PREVIOUS EVALUATION AUG. 13, 1982. AUSTRALIAN FERTILIZERS MADE A LIMITED STUDY AND ASKED THE NORTHERN TERRITORY MINES DEPARTMENT TO PUT A MINING RESERVE ON WONARAH. THE DEPARTMENT RELEASED A CIRCULAR TO COMPANIES SEEKING INTEREST IN FURTHER EXPLORATION, WITH THE INTENTION OF REMOVING THE RESERVE, SHOULD A SUITABLE PROGRAM BE PROPOSED.
