Deposit LIWU COPPER DEPOSIT IS LOCATED IN THE JIULUNG COUNTY, GANGZE TIBETIAN AUTONOMOUS DESTRICT, 320 KM SOUTHWEST OF CHENGDU. THERE IS A MAIN ROAD FROM CHENGDU TO XICHANG, WHICH IS CONNECTED WITH A MINE ROAD LEADING TO THE DEPOSIT AT MIENLING COUNTY, LIANSHAN YI AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT. THE DEPOSIT IS RICH IN COPPER WITH AN AVERAGE GRADE OF CU 2.5% AND RESERVE OF CU 0.26 MT. AMONG THE DEPOSIT, THERE ARE 60,000 T CU RESERVES WITH GRADE OF CU OVER 3%. THE PRINCIPAL INDUSTRIAL MINERAL IN CHALCOPYRITE. AFTER CONSTRACTED THE MINE ROAD IN 1991, THE DEPOSIT STARTED MINING IN A SMALL SCALE BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AND THE MINED ORE ARE DIRECTLY SOLD ON THE MARKET.
