Comments on the geologic information

  • SULFIDE MINERALS ARE HIGHLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE GOLD, REQUIRING FLOTATION.
  • THE GOLD OCCURS ON THE SURFACE OF PYRITE AND IN FLAKES AND GRANULES.ORE BODY DIPS AT 29 DEGREES. THE THICKNESS OF THE ORE BODY IS CALCULATED USING THE DIP GIVEN AND A VERTICAL DEPTH OF 600M, WHERE THE ORE BODY IS STILL OPEN.GRADE DECREASES AND AVERAGE GRADE IS 6 G/T OF ORE.

  • Year 1992
Description Current Production 1000 Mt Ore/Day

Comments on the production information

  • AU AND AG DORE BULLION FROM SMELTER ARE SOLD TO THE BANK OF CHINA FOR REFINING AND MARKETING.
  • ALL CALCULATIONS ARE MADE ASSUMING OVERALL RECOVERY OF 92% GOLD AND SILVER BULLION FROM THE SMELTER ARE PRODUCED INTO 25 KG BARS.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • PRESENTLY, XINCHENG HAS 25 YEARS PROVED RESERVES. THE RESERVES ABOVE 480M ARE CLASSIFIED AS PROVED, AND FROM 480M TO 600M AS POSSIBLE. 4.3 MILLION MT AT 7.7 G/T USING THE MINE DEPTHS MENTIONNED ABOVE, THE DIP OF THE ORE BODY, AND AN AVERAGE DENSITY OF 2.7 MT ORE/CU-M, APPROXIMATE VALUES FOR THE RESERVES CAN BE GENERATED. IF ALL VARIABLES ARE ACCURATE, THERE ARE ABOUT 7,700,000 MT ORE PROVED AND 7,017,000 MT POSSIBLE RESERVES. HOWEVER, AS MENTIONNED ON PAGE 30 OF REFERENCE 1, GRADE AND THICKNESS OF THE ORE DECLINE WITH DEPTH. ALSO, IT IS UNKNOWN HOW DILUTION FACTORS WOULD AFFECT THESE APPROXIMATIONS.

Comments on other economic factors

  • THERE ARE TWO VERTICAL SHAFTS. THE NEW SHAFT WILL BE USED FOR HOISTING ORE FROM ONE LEVEL. THIS NEW 5-M DIAMETER VERTICAL SHAFT IS BEING SUNK TO 500M AND WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH ONE CAGE AND ONE SKIP. THE GROUND-MOUNTED FRICTION HOIST IS THE FIRST OF ITS TYPE TO BE INSTALLED IN CHINA. BOLTING AND MESH ARE USED FOR ROCK SUPPORT. FOR ACCESS, THERE IS A RAMP FOR TRACKED VEHICLES FROM THE SURFACE TO THE 280-M LEVEL TO FACILITATE THE TRACKLESS MECHANIZATION. 300 DAYS/YR WORKED AND 3 SHIFTS/DAY ARE ASSUMED VALUES.
  • THE MILLING CAPACITY IS ESTIMATED BASED ON THE GIVEN MINE CAPACITY(1,000 MT ORE/DAY). BASED ON THE ASSUMED 330 DAYS/YR WORKED, MILLING CAPACITY WOULD BE 300,000 MT ORE/YR(909 MT/DY). 3 SHIFTS/DAY IS AN ASSUMED SCHEDULE.
  • THIS MINE IS MINING HIGH GRADE(7-8 G/T) AND HIGH SILVER GRADE (8.19 G/T), HOWEVER, AVE.GRADE OVER THE MINE LIFE IS 6 G/T. ALL CALCULATION IS BASED ON THE AVE. GRADES AND 10% DILUTION
