Deposit is U. Proterozoic, Reduced facies Cu type, Carbonate Ecaille style.

It is in the Mines Sequence, Roan division of Katangan Supergroup (RAT, RSF, lower SD, and RSC (adjacent to SD))
Tectonic style: diapir
Host rock is dolomitic siltstone, partly silicified finely stratified dolomite, dolomitic shale, shaley dolomite, breccia of dolomite and algae fragments.
Ore primarily malachite and cu-silicates.
