MISSISSIPPIAN KAYAK SHALE CONSISTING OF SILTSTONE, SHALE, & SANDSTONE OUTCROP BELOW THE CONGLOMERAT . THE UNITS ARE MAPPED AS PART OF THE NORTH CENTRAL BROOKS RANGE THRUST SEQUENCE (OF26-81). AN EAST-WEST STRIKING, STEEPLY DIPPING LIMONITE-STAINED ZONE IS ASSOCIATED W/ SUBCROPPING PYRITIFEROUS CONGLOMERATE & COARSE-GRAINED SANDSTONE. BLACK SHALE OUTCROPS SOUTH & STRATIGRAPHICALLY BELOW THE PYRITIFEROUS CONGLOMERATE (OF26-81).
