Deposit FROM 1916-1934 INCLUDED COTTRELL MINE. THE CORRY 40 MINE WAS OPERATED THROUGH BERKSHIRES SHAFT. BERKSHIRE IS NOW A PART O BUCK GROUP. SEE BUCK GROUP. WORKED BY TOP-SLICING AND SUB-LE CAVING. SOFT, RED-BROWN, HIGH PHOSPHORUS ORES. TOTAL SHIPMEN 1908 TO 1950 = 4,189,586 TONS (INCLUDES CORRY 40). BERKSHIRE STILL ACTIVE IN 1950.
