  • WATER IS PURCHASED FROM CHARLESTOWN PUBLIC WATER. POWER IS TRANSMITTED TO THE SITE. THE PRESENT ACCESS ROAD IS TWO LANE AND BLACKTOPPED. THE PLANT AT FULL CAPACITY EMPLOYS 650 PEOPLE, 470 HOURLY AND 180 SALARIED EMPLOYEES. ALUMAX INC. CUT ANNUAL PRODUCTION BY 20 % TO 145,200 MT/YR - TAKEN FROM SOUTHWESTERN PAY DIRT (APRIL 1993). ALTHOUGH PRODUCTION WAS CUT IN 1993, RATED CAPACITY IS STILL 181,000 MT PER YEAR ACCORDING TO CRU QUARTERLY MARKET SERVICE, APRIL 1994, TABLE D-1 T.J.KREIDLER
