  • WITH THE START-UP OF THE LATERRIERE SMELTER IN 1990. THE JONQUIERE (ARVIDA) SMELTER WILL PHASE OUT 100,000 MT OF OBSOLETE AL METAL CAPACITY. PRODUCTION CAPACITY AT ARVIDA WAS 232,000 AS OF DEC 31, 1991.
