Comments on the geologic information

  • THE HOST ROCKS ARE HIGHLY METAMORPHOSED, DEFORMED, AND RECRYSTALLIZED SO THAT ORIGINAL TEXTURAL FEATURES ARE GENERALLY NOT DISCERNABLE. MOST OF THE HOST ROCKS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS META-RHYOLITE, META-DACITE, OR METAFELSIC TUFFS. ORE ZONE OCCURS BENEATH IZOK LAKE IN A FAIRLY OPEN SYNCLINE GENERALLY PLUNGING TOWARDS GRID EAST. THE DEPOSIT IS A METAMORPHOSED VOLCANOGENIC MASSIVE SULPHIDE. THE GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION PERTAINS TO THE CENTRAL ZONE.
