| Deposit | A 900 MT/DAY CONCENTRATOR OPERATED BRIEFLY IN 1970-71 AND IN 1973-74. AN ESTIMATED 360,000 TONNES OF OXIDE ORE WERE MINED BY OPEN PIT, NOVEMBER 1970 TO NOVEMBER 1971, AND SEPTEMBER 1973 TO SEPTEMBER 1974. IF MINING IS RESUMED,IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO MINE THE SAME PIT ANOTHER 30-50 METERS IN DEPTH (THE PIT IS NOW 17M DEEP , 60M WIDE AND 200M LONG). HOWEVER, ANACONDA IS NOT CONSIDERING FURTHER SURFACE MINING. |
