| Deposit | THE PRODUCTS OF THIS MINE MUST CURRENTLY BE SOLD THROUGH IREL. KMML ARE, HOWEVER, PERSEVERING WITH THEIR PLANS TO BECOME A SIGNIFICANT PRODUCER AND THERE ARE 2 POSSIBILITIES: (A) THERE ARE LICENSED BY THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO MINE DEPOSITS AT CHAVARA AND UPGRADE ILMENITE TO SYNTHETIC RUTILE. (B) IREL WILL EXPAND THEIR CHAVARA OPERATIONS AND PRODUCE ILMENITE, WHICH THEY WILL SUPPLY TO KMML AS FEED TO A SYNTHETIC RUTILE PLANT. FROM THE MILL, THE CONCENTRATE IS STOCKPILED FOR SHIPMENT. ORIGIN OF SHIPMENT IS NOT STATED. HOWEVER, IT IS ASSUMED THAT IT IS DESTINED FOR JAPAN. THE GRADES LISTED IN MATRIX #9 ARE FOR THE MINERALS, NOT FOR THE CONSTITUENTS, AS IMPLIED. THE CONSTITUENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: ILMENITE= 11.52%*54% = 6.22%TIO2; RUTILE= 1.35%*70% = 0.945% TIO2; ZIRCON= 1.08%*67% = 0.72% ZRO2; AND, MONAZITE= 0.18%*55% = 0.099% REO. |
