Deposit MOLUO RARE EARTH DEPOSIT IS LOCATED IN MIANNING COUNTY, LIANSHAN YI AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT, 332 KM SOUTHWEST OF CHENGDU 25 KM SOUTHWEST OF THE COUNTY. THERE IS A MAIN ROAD OF 80 KM FROM XICHANG TO MIANNING AND A VILLAGE ROAD LEADS TO THE DEPOSIT. THIS IS A HYDROTHERMAL DEPOSIT OF RARE EARTH ELEMENTS. THE ORE BODIES HOST IN GRANITE AND LIMESTONE. THE PRINCIPAL INDUSTRIAL MINERAL IS BASTNAESITE WHICH IS ASSOCIATED WITH MOLYBDENITE AND FLUORITE. THE DEPOSIT OWES A RESERVE OF CE2O3 19,536 T., WITH ORE GRADE OF CE2O3 1.44-1.70%. IT CAN BE MINED BY OPEN PIT AND THE ORE ARE EASY TO BE BENEFICIATED. IT HAS NOT BEEN MINED YET. PROPERTY ACCESS: CHENGDU-W.KUNMING RAILWAY
