| Deposit | FOR A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE GENERAL GEOLOGY, RESOURCES MINING AND MILLING, SEE THE KARA TAU DEPOSIT LISTING SEQUENCE NUMBER 4590000122. SHAFT SINKING WAS REPORTED TO HAVE BEGUN AT AK SAY IN 1983, WITH THE UNDERGROUND MINE SCHEDULED TO COME ONSTREAM IN IN 1988. INITIAL CAPACITY IS PLANNED WAS REPORTED TO BE 1 MIL. MTPY. IN 1984 IT WAS REORTED THAT THE OPEN PIT HAD REACHED A DEPTH OF 200M. PRIMARY ORE CONCENTRATION IS DONE AT THE MINE SITE (BALL MILLS AND SCREENING). THE CONCENTRATED ROCK (23% P2O5) IS USED FOR ELEMENTARY PHOSPHOROUS PRODUCTION. |
