  • OPERATION PRODUCED 279,560 OZ AU IN 1987/ 311,767 OZ AU IN 1988/ AND 337,211 OZ AU IN 1989. THESE AMOUNTS ARE UP FROM 264,280 OZ AU (FROM MILLING 814,000 MT ORE) IN 1985. OPERATION WAS ANALYZED FOR THE 1983 AU AVAILABILITY STUDY AND WILL BE UPDATED FOR THE 1992 AU AVAILABILITY STUDY (WILL INCLUDE TAILINGS RETREATMENT OPERATION). ADDING 110,000-115,000 OZ/YR TO CAPACITY BY 1993. 1992 ASHANTI CAPACITY (NOT INCLUDING SANSU OPERATION,SEQ.NO. 749-005-0003) = 900,000 MTPY UG ORE PLUS 700,000 MTPY TAIL- INGS MATERIAL. COORDINATES ARE OF CITY OF OBUASI, IN VICINITY OF CONCESSION.
