  • INTERSTRAT RESOURCES, INC., OF VANCOUVER, B.C., AND A 50 PERCENT OWNER OF PINE FLAT IS PRESENTLY BEING ACQUIRED BY FRONTIER INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF CALBURN, TX, A SUBURB OF DALLAS. THIS IS A DIVERSIFIED COMPANY WITH LAND HOLDINGS SUITABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT NEAR CHANDLER, AZ, 47 OIL AND GAS WELLS, AND A 20 PERCENT OWNERSHIP OF LUNDBERG MINES, A POTASH PRODUCER IN CARLSBAD, NM, AMONG OTHERS. THE PRESIDENT OF THIS COMPANY IS MR. MICHAEL PATMAN. IN 1986, INTERSTRAT COMPLETED THE FIRST PART OF A FEASIBILITY STUDY WITH ASSISTANCE BY DAVY MCGEE CORP. THAT RECOMMENDS DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY. COST WOULD BE ALMOST $260 MILLION. THERE WOULD BE A 2,270 T/DAY MINE PRODUCING 32,700 T/Y MAGNESIUM, 6,350 T/Y NICKEL, AND 900 T/Y COBALT. MINE LIFE IS EST. TO BE 13 YEARS WITH EMPLOYMENT OF 300. THE SECOND PART OF THIS STUDY SHOULD BE INSTIGATED SOON AFTER FRONTIER COMPLETES ITS ACQUISITION.
