| Deposit | FIELD WORK BY THE BUREAU OF MINES IN 1993 DID NOT CONCLUSIVELY IDENTIFY THIS LOCATION. ACCORDING TO KEN SHULTE (BLM, BARSTOW), THIS IS LIKELY PART OF THE TOOMEY CLAIMS WHICH WERE DRILLED IN 1983 BY U.S. BORAX. THE EXPLORATION PROGRAM DID NOT ENCOUNTER A BORON DEPOSIT, BUT INTERSECTED SEDIMENTARY ROCKS OF THE BARSTOW FORMATION WHICH COMMONLY CONTAINS THE BORON MINERALS. |
