  • MSHA LOCAT:HGHWY 200 TO GREENOUGH (GARNET RANGE RD), RIGHT 6.2 MILES EAST, RIGHT .8 MILES. OCCURRENCES HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED IN THE MISSOULA AREA. THE COUNTRY ROCK IN THE VICINITY OF THE MINE IS FINE- GRAINED GREY TO DARK GREY MICAEOUS SANDY QUARTZITE AND ARGILLITE OF BELTIAN AGE. SOME IMPURE LIMESTONE IS ALSO PRESENT. THIS PROPERTY WAS TAKEN OVER BY THE BAROID DIVISION OF THE NATIONAL LEAD CO. IN JUNE 1956. PROPERTY SOME TIMES MISTAKENLY CALLED ELK CREEK BARITE; SEE MAS SEQ# 0300630011
