  • THE DEPOSITS OCCUR NEAR THE BOTTOM OF A SERPENTINITE SILL OCCUPYING THE SOUTHERN LIMB OF A REGIONAL OPEN SYNCLINE TRENDING NORTH-OF-EAST. THE MINERALIZATION IS LOCATED AT OR NEAR THE BASE OF ULTRABASIC SILLS INTRUDING PRECAMBRIAN LAVAS AND SEDIMENTS OF THE CAPE SMITH-WAKEHAM BAY BELT. THESE SILLS CONSIST OF GABBRO, PERIDOTITE, AND SERPENTINITE.
  • THE DEPOSIT OCCURS WITHIN A BELT ABOUT 68 KM LONG AT IRREGULAR INTERVALS. WIDTH OF THE TABULAR DEPOSIT IS ESTIMATED TO BE 10 TO 15 METERS.
