ADDITIONAL SPONGE FROM JAPAN (TOHO & OSAKA) AND SCRAP FROM EUROPEAN SOURCES. 1991 APPROX. 900 MT FROM DEESIDE, WALES. EST. 373 MT SCRAP AND 1214 MT FROM JAPAN. INVESTED L200,000 (BRITISH POUND) FOR FORGE FURNACE CHARGING MACHINE AND VACUUM WELDING PLANT. PREHEATING FACILITIES HAVE BEEN UPGRADED AT ITS SWANSEABASED ROLLING MILL, WHICH PRODUCES BAR, TUBE, PLATE, AND SHEET FROM MATERIAL PRODUCED AT WITTON.
