Comments on the geologic information

  • THE DEPOSIT IS IN THE FORM OF AN ANTICLINE PLUNGING 60 DEGREES TO THE WEST, RESULTING IN A HORSESHOE SHAPED OUTCROP AT THE SURFACE. THE NORTH LIMB IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PORTION, ECONOMICALLY, SINCE THE SOUTH LIMB DIES OUT AT 40 TO 50 M. DOWN THE DIP OF THE LIMB. THE DIMENSIONS SHOWN IN THE G-RECORD ARE EXPECTED TO REFLECT A DESCRIPTION OF THE RESOURCE AVAILABLE IN 1980 (THE WIDTH = SECTION OF THE NORTH LIMB DOWN PLUNGE -AT A VERTICAL DEPTH OF 200 TO 362 M. BELOW THE SURFACE-. THE LENGTH = THE LENGTH DOWN DIP OF THE NORTH LIMB.).

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • LOCATED IN FETHIYE-MUGLA REGION. KANDAK LOCATED ABOUT 50 KM NW OF PORT OF GOCEK & 30 KM SE OF MUGLA. CONTINUOUS PRODUCER SINCE 1953. FOR ANALYSIS: 25,000 MTPY ROM FOR: 12,300 MTPY LUMP AT 48.0 % CR2O3 AND 9,350 MTPY CONCS.AT 48 % CR2O3. ALL PRODUCTS ANALYZ- ED AS CHROMITE MET PRODUCTS AVAIL.FOR EXPORT THRU PORT OF FETHIYE.
  • THE COMPANY ONLY REPORTS PROVEN ORE RESERVES, WHICH WAS 40, 000 METRIC TONS AS OF 1980. THIS REPRESENTS LITTLE MORE THAN 2 YEARS OF PRODUCTION. THE ONLY OTHER ESTIMATE OF RESOURCES IS FROM ESTIMATES OF 1972 OF 800,000 MT AT A "POSSIBLE" LEVEL. THE Q-MAT 1 DEMONSTRATED RESOURCE OF 350,000 MT IS A COMPROMISE BETWEEN THE TWO PUBLISHED NUMBERS AND BASICALLY REPRESENTS 50% OF THE 1972 "POSSIBLE TONNAGE MINUS ESTIMATED PRODUCTION FROM 1973 THROUGH 1979. ESSENTIALLY, THIS DEMONSTRATED RESOURCE WOULD BE CONTAINED WITHIN ONLY 5 MINING LEVELS OF THE OPERATION AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE.
  • 1/89 INSITU DEMO.TONNAGE = ESTIMATE TO 409 M LEVEL, ABOUT 350 M BELOW HIGHEST OUTCROP.
