  • THE ORE BODIES OCCUR IN TORRINGTON PENDANT, AN ISOLATED ROOF PENDANT OF PERMIAN SEDIMENTS ENCLOSED BY THE MOLE GRANITE A LARGE INTRUSIVE OF UPPER PERMIAN AGE. ORE ALSO OCCURS IN THE ROOF ZONE OF THE GRANITE.

Deposit THE PROPERTY COVERS NEARLY 5000 HECTARES OF MINING AND PROS- PECTING LEASES WITH AT LEAST 38 KNOWN DEPOSITS. 13 OF WHICH HAVE BEEN EXAMINED TO SOME EXTENT. AVERAGE GRADE OF 17% TOPAZ IS FOUND WITH THE TUNGSTEN. IT IS BEING EVALUATED FOR ITS REFRACTORY QUALITIES AND AS A SOURCE OF FLUORINE. AVERAGE GRADE OF BISMUTH IS 0.05%; GOLD IS 1 GM/MT. PRODUCTION AT TORRINGTON WAS SUSPENDED IN 1982.
