  • THE BEDROCK OF THIS AREA CONSISTS OF INTERBEDDED VOLCANIC AND SEDIMENTARY ROCKS OF JURASSIC AGE INTRUDED BY GRANITIC PLUTONS AND SEVERAL RHYOLITIC BODIES. THE VALLEY OF THE KASIGLUK RIVER CONTAINS A THICK LAYER OF OUTWASH DEPOSITS WHICH CAME FROM A LARGE GLACIER IN THE KWITHLUK VALLEY TO THE SOUTH (HOARE AND COBB). LOCATIONS UNCERTAIN.
