PATENT MINERAL SURVEYS HAVE BEEN MADE (MS 4693 & 4698), BUT NO APPLICATION FOR PATENT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED. LOC AIR PHOTOS OF LAYOUT IN FILE. ORIGINAL EVALUATION DONE SEPT 1978. UPDATE DONE SEPTEMBER 1983. UPDATED JULY 1987. UPDATED JUNE 1992. IN 1988, CYPRUS MINERALS CORP. PURCHASED THE INSPIRATION CONSOLIDATED COPPER COMPANY FROM ITS PARENT COMPANY, INSPIRATION RESOURCES CORP. FOR $125 MILLION, WHOSE ASSETS INCLUDED ALL THEIR COPPER PROPERTIES IN ARIZONA, THE SMELTER, AND THE COPPER ROD PLANT. THE OX HIDE PROPERTY IS NOW CONSOLIDATED INTO THE CYPRUS MIAMI PROPERTY FILE (SEQ NO 0040070008), BECAUSE THIS PROPERTY ALONG WITH THE BLUEBIRD PROPERTY (SEQ NO 0040070008) ARE NOW A SINGLE OPERATING MINE.
