| Environmental Factors | AN ASBESTOS MINE AND WASHING MILL WERE LOCATED AT THIS SITE. ANTHOPHYLLITE ASBESTOS WAS DETECTED ON-SITE. AN UNNAMED TRIBUTARY TO THE GALLATIN RIVER FLOWED ADJACENT TO WASHING MILL. AN OBSERVED RELEASE TO THE TRIBUTARY WAS DOCUMENTED FOR ASBESTOS. HOWEVER, THE MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVEL FOR ASBESTOS WAS NOT EXCEEDED. ASBESTOS WAS NOT DETECTED IN UPSTREAM OR DOWNSTREAM SEDIMENT SAMPLES. |
