  • PA REPRESENTS A LOW GRADE 25% SN CONCENTRATE WHICH IS SHIPPED TO A TIN SHED FOR UPGRADING TO A 60% SN CONCENTRATE. DATA REGARDING TIN SHED IS BASICALLY UNAVAILABLE. THE NUMBER S REPRESENTED IN "PB" ARE FOR THE CORTEZ FEED AND PRODUCT

Comments on other economic factors

  • THE DREDGE IS A YUBA DREDGE WITH A MAXIMUM DIGGING DEPTH OF METERS WILL WORK THE AREAS PREVIOUSLY MINED BY THE DREDGE. LOCATED ON DRY GROUND VERY CLOSE TO THE OPERATION.
  • THE COST OF TRANSPORTATION IS A MAJOR ELEMENT IN THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MINING, AS WELL AS A SECURITY PROBLEM IN THAT TRUCKS ARE SOMETIMES HIJACKED AND THE DRIVERS MURDERED. THIS ALSO CREATES A PROBLEM IN FINDING DRIVERS.
  • COSTS FOR FUEL AND LABOR ARE HIGHER FOR THE TIN PROPERTIES TRANSFER OF THE DREDGE FROM THE CANDEIAS SITE TO THE CORTEZ
  • THE DREDGE TO BE USED AT CORTEZ IS PROBABLY THE SAME ONE USED AT CANDEIAS (UP UNTIL THE ORE WAS EXHAUSTED).
