  • A JOINT VENTURE HAS BEEN FORMED TO BUILD A 40,000 MTPY CU CONC. PLANS CALL FOR CONSTRUCTION TO BE COMPLETED IN 1995. ORE TO COME FROM LOCAL DEPOSITS IN KASTAKERT, ALAVERDI, AND KAFAN. ORE FIELDS CONTAIN AN ESTIMATED 2.6 TO 2.8 MILLION TONS OF ORE WITH CU CONTENT RANGING FROM 1.3 TO 1.45% CU.
