Comments on the geologic information

  • THE DEPOSIT REGION IS IN THE NORTHEASTERN TERMINATION OF THE KOLMA-YANA-CHUKOTKA GEOSYNCLINE AND IS CONFINED TO THE AXIAL PORTION OF THE CHUKOTKA ANTICLINAL ZONE. THE ORE DEPOSIT IS IN THE NORTHERN LIMB OF THE ANTICLINAL FOLD WHICH IS DIPPING 20-40 DEGREES NORTHEAST. INDIVIDUAL VEINS CAN VARY BETWEEN 100-150 METERS STRIKE LENGTH, 50-70 METERS IN DIP, AND 0.3-1.0 METERS THICK. GROUPS OF MOST CLOSELY-SPACED VEINS ARE COMBINED INTO OREBODY UNITS WITH STRIKE LENGTHS OF 10-1250 METERS, AND DIPS OF 10-330 METERS.
