  • THE DEPOSIT IS DEFINED BY A 30M ISOPACH OF OVERBURDEN, AND THICKENS TO THE NORTHEAST. THIS DEPOSIT IS TYPICAL OF THE PLATFORM DEPOSITS, LYING IN THE MARGINAL AREA OF A BROAD EAST RUSSIAN SEDIMENTARY BASIN, IN WHICH JURASSIC/LOWER CRETACEOUS AND OLDER ROCKS DIP IMPERCEPTIBLY TO THE CENTER AND OCCUPY A SUBSIDIARY SYNCLINAL STRUCTURE.
  • NUMEROUS PHOSPHATIC NODULES OCCUR IN A BED OF GLAUCONITIC ARGILLACEOUS SAND.
