Deposit THE ANING DEPOSIT IS LOCATED 475 KM SOUTHWEST OF CHENGDU AND IS ACCESSIBLE BY THE CHENGDU-W. KUNMING RAILWAY. THE DEPOSIT IS A VANADIUM-BEARING TITANOMAGNETITE WHICH IS IS HOSTED IN THE LAYERED GABBRO INTRUSION. THE TI-V-MAGNETITE ORE BODIES WITH THICKNESS OF 60-100M ARE INTER-LAYERED IN THE LOWER PART OF THE GABBRO INTRUSION. THE DEPOSIT IS SEPARATED BY TWO MINING DISTRICTS. THE ANING DISTRICT IS TO THE WEST AND THE BAICHOU DISTRICT TO THE EAST. THE ANING GABBRO INTRUSION STRETCHES 2KM FROM EAST TO WEST AND IS 1KM WIDE. THE ORE BODIES DIP TO THE SOUTH WITH AN ANGLE OF 50-60 DEGREES. THE BAICHOU GABBRO MASSIVE IS IRRUPTED BY NB-TA-BEARING ORE VEINS. THE MAIN INDUSTRIAL MINERALS ARE TITANOMAGNETITE,ILMENITE, AND PYROCHLORE(IN VEINS) IN THE ANING DEPOSIT. THE GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION OF THE DEPOSIT WAS FINISHED IN 1983.
