| Deposit | THE GUIZHOU OPEN PIT BAUXITE MINE IS TO DATE (1991) UNDER DEVELOPEMENT, AND WILL EVENTUALLY FEED THE GUIZHOU ALUMINUM COMPLEX; SEQ. NO. 5700331007. THE OPEN PIT OPERATION IS SAID TO HAVE RESERVES OF 200,000,000 TONS OF 60-70% AL2O3 DIASPORIC BAUXITE ORE, INCLUDING 70,OOO,OOO TONS EASILY EXPLOITABLE BY SURFACE METHODS. THE MINE WILL BE DESIGNED FOR 1.2 M TPY CAPACITY, EXPLOITING A 4-6 M THICK LAYER OF BAUXITE 100-300 M BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE. THE ENTIRE GUIZHOU PROVINCE IS SAID TO HAVE RESERVES OF ABOUT 330,000,000 TONS OF BAUXITE ORE |
