Comments on the reserve resource information

  • SMELTER PRODUCES MATTE FROM LATERITE, WHICH IS THEN DIRECTED TO SEVERAL REFINERS PRIMARILY JAPANESE. COBALT AND COPPER MAY RECOVERED FROM MATTES DIRECTED TO THOSE REFINERS EQUIPPED WITH CIRCUITRY. CAPACITY IS IN TERMS OF CONTAINED NICKEL. CREDITS ARE NOT GIVEN TO THE PT INCO. PLANS WERE ANNOUNCED IN 1988 STATING THAT AN EXPANSION OF 25 - 30 PCT WILL TAKE PLACE BY 1992.
