Deposit NO ALASKA KARDEX. NO RECORD EVER CLAIMED. ROSSMAN SAMPLED LAYERS IN THE GABBRO CONTAINING 1-22 % MAGNETITE & 2-12.5 % ILMENITE. TWO SAMPLES OF MAGNETITE CONTAINED 8.5 & 10.69 % ILMENITE BY WEIGHT. THE MINERALIZED LAYERS OUTCROP ON THE HEADLAND BETWEEN 1,100 & 2,000 FT ELEVATION. RECRYSTALLIZED ROCKS PROBABLY REPRESENT A ROOF PENDANT OR XENOLITH ALSO OUTCROP NEAR THE TOP OF THE PENINSULA.
