SMELTER CAPACITY IS 40,000 MTPA ANODE COPPER. NO SULFUR FIXATION FACILITIES EXIST AT THIS TIME. IT WAS ORIGINALLY PLANNED TO COMMISION A 175,000 TPA SULFURIC ACID PLANT BY THE END OF 1990, HOWEVER THIS PROJECT WAS DELAYED BY INDUSTRIAL STRIKES AND CONSTRUCTION DELAYS.
