Comments on other economic factors

  • THREE TYPES OF MINING METHODS ARE USED AT PEA RIDGE. CURRENTLY PILLAR ROBBING (CAVING) ACCOUNTS FOR 80-PERCENT OF MINED ORE AND THE SUBLEVEL MINING METHODS ACCOUNT FOR 20-PERCENT. PEA RIDGE USES SUBLEVEL CAVING AND SUBLEVEL STOPING. THE U1 DATA SET CONTAINS 80-PERCENT OF THE MINE CAPITAL COST AND THE U2 DATA SET CONTAINS 20-PERCENT. U1 DATA SET IS PILLAR RECOVERY MINING U2 DATA SET IS SUBLEVEL MINING ORE IS TRANSFERRED TO THE 2475 LEVEL WHERE IT IS CRUSHED AND CONVEYED TO SHAFT STATION STORAGE AREA. THE ORE IS THEN LOADED INTO SKIPS AND HOISTED TO THE SURFACE.

Subject category Comment text
Deposit CURRENT OPERATIONS UTILIZE SEVERAL MINING METHODS TO EXTRACT IRON ORE FROM AN UNDERGROUND DEPOSIT. ONLY IRON IS RECOVERED AT THIS TIME,BUT THE MILL HAS THE CAPABILITY OF RECOVERING APATITE (P205) AND PYRITE CONCENTRATES. DATABASE SHOWS P205 RECOVERY AND PROPOSED CIRCUIT (K3) TO RECOVER COBALT FROM THE PYRITE CONCENTRATE.
