| Deposit | THE MINE IS LOCATED IN AN AREA WITH NUMER ILINGS AND TAILINGS PONDS. THEREFORE ANY ADDITIONAL MINING SHOULD NOT SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT THE ENVIRONMENT. SEE USGS 7.5 MIN TO OWINGO DAM PA MD 1970 A CLEANED CONCENTRATE OF THE DISSEMINATED CHROMITE YIELDED 5 CR203 AND THE CR FE RATIO WAS 2.5:1.0. ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO SILICA ANALYSIS THE CHROMITE WOULD PROBABLY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS F GRADE. THIS MINE IS REPORTEDLY 200 FT DEEP. DATE OF COMMENTS 1975. |
