| Deposit | DEPOSIT CONTAINED 24,000 TONS OF SODIUM SULFATE IN SOLID CRYSTAL. IT WAS MINED AND SOLD DURING WORLD WAR I FOR USE IN THE LMANUFACTURE OF KRAFT PAPER. THE DEPOSIT HAS BEEN DESTROYED AS A SALINE LAKE BY THE U.S. BUREAU OF RECLAMATION IN CONNECTION WITH CANAL CONSTRUCTION FOR THE COLUMBIA BASIN IRRIGATION PROJECT. |
