Deposit ALDERSYDE IS A PROPOSED MAGNESIUM INGOT PLANT, UTILIZING A PATENTED PROCESS DEVELOPED BY MPLC WHICH USES RAW MAGNESITE TO PRODUCE ANHYDROUS MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE THROUGH ELECTRO- LYSIS. THE PLANT IS PROPOSED TO USE NEARBY BAYMAG ORE; WILL BE DEVELOPED IN 3 STAGES WITH AN EVENTUAL PRODUCTION OF 50,000 TPA, AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $US 270 MILLION IN 1986 DOLLARS.
